Shockingly, Jen and I actually had a weekend this week. Which doesn't mean I didn't have to work, I mean, god forbid I actually have a full day off. But we did have fun and get to spend time together, relaxing.

Saturday we joined Kevin and a bunch of motherfuckers for apple picking. I didn't touch an apple or apple tree, but sat in the orchard drinking seltzer and stoli, and cider and makers mark. It was re-fuckin-laxing. Everyone was so silly too. We were laughing at the dumbest stuff. "OH MY GOD, Bill MURRAY as Christopher Columbus. That would be the BEST. That's the BEST MOVIE EVER." A lot of vitriolic shit got talked about Paltrow too. Whatever, you know she deserves it.

After apple picking, we went back to Kevin's parent's house for a BBQ. It was so nice to be in a house with stairs. Some people spent the night, but after I gorging on snacks consisting mainly of cheese and awesomeness, Jen and I had to come back for the pups. We drove Kiersten and the goofiness continued in the car. We were talking about body sushi and how disgusting it sounds. And then I was like, why just sushi? What about other foods on a body? What about crudité? And you could put the dip in the ass. And it would be called "assdité". Or crudiass.
But assdité sounds classier right?

Sunday I had to work like a fucking idiot all day. But then Jen and I had dinner w. my mom and my cousin matt and that was delicious and I was starving. Then Jen and I headed down to the seaport to see a concert at the Spiegeltent. We were early so we went to a wine bar and had some wine, and it was a real date, which we haven't have the time or money for in a while. The concert started late, and at first Nellie McKay was discombobulated to the point of ineptitude, but we were a small and forgiving audience she eventually got her shit together. It was very intimate and sweet and romantic in the end.

Back home, Jen and i got in a dumb, drunk, tired fight about the remote control. But we made up on Monday morning, cuddled and then headed out for lunch in Riverdale with my great aunt and her cousin. We had a nice, ladylike time. In the afternoon I took a nap, we cleaned the house and Adam came over for dinner. Salad with bacon and homemade blue cheese dressing, tomato soup with dill and feta, homemade pizza with andouille sausage and three cheeses. CHEESE. Jen made egg cream cocktails - seltzer, cream liquor, godiva chocolate liquor. I could drink one for breakfast every day.
