Jen's mom is coming for a visit, so we're cleaning like maniacs and getting rid of any damning evidence of our debauchery. I cleaned the bedroom today. Before I go on, let me just say, we do clean the bedroom, all the time. We just don't usually scour every single corner of it like I did today. For example, we rarely use the bedroom bookshelf, so when I went over it with a find toothed comb today, there was a ton of stuff to toss, or reunite with. Or bags of clothes that I have been meaning to give away but needed to go through again. Here are things I found in our room that I had no idea were there - Barrel Fever and Naked, which are my preferred David Sedaris books and I didn't know we still owned
- An unused unlimited metrocard (yay!), which had expired (boo!)
- 2 useless issues of Jane magazine that were thrown away with vehemence. Man, Jane was lame.
- A cute watch that I can't figure out how to set
- A REALLY cute skirt that I thought didn't fit me and was planning to give away, but turned out to totally fit after all
- A never worn pair of jeans that I hated and am still ambivalent about but think might be redeemed if I make an effort to wear them in
- A bunch of late 90s mix tapes belonging to Jen. Crank up the Rave Mix!
- The other remote
