Every thursday night Jen and i watch GAY USA, which is a local public access show where an aging gay man and an aging lesbian, Andy and Ann, sit at a desk and tell news that relates to gay people. They don't read the news or report the news, the tell the news. And then they judge it. And bicker. Its the best and the gayest and I learn all kinds of shit about the bullshit that goes on in this country regarding lgbt issues and people. The graphics on GAY USA are my favorite, because they are so low budget. If they want to show a clip of something, they just closeup on a laptop showing the youtube video. The segue into their AIDS news segment is just a blue screen that says "AIDS NEWS". But what more do you need? I wish GAY USA could become a nationwide show, and retain its public access charm. They have gay news on logo or whatever, but its polished and entertainment-y and not nearly disgusted enough with the state of affairs. Andy and Ann, they do it right. With a patented blend of sarcasm and offended irritation. Its on MNN in NYC and now they're on dish network and podcasting too. Find GAY USA and watch the hell out of it.
